Since Hyperdimension Neptunia and Atelier Totori were really bad games and they more or less shared the same anime art sub-style, I?ll admit that I?ve developed a bit of a bias against anything that uses said art sub-style. The anime/JRPG fandom and its branches, after all, have developed a bit of a reputation for behaving like rabid dogs in a meat shop full of sparkling sausages, developing yaoi for anything that exists and splicing Japanese words into English sentences no matter how inappropriate. This isn?t helped by a bit of anime and JRPGs squeezing in fanservice of both kinds to cater exclusively to said fandom and branches so it?s hard for me to take most media that uses the aforementioned art sub-style seriously much less say it's actually good. While it is indeed hard to keep my faith alive despite of all this, I still like games like Fortune Summoners that remind me that, as long as the gameplay and story are good, everything else is redundant.
