The Junior Colts lost to the Demons by 49 points, but had already secured their position in the top four and will play Tantanoola today in the First Semi Final at Nangwarry. The Senior Colts unfortunately ended their season with a loss to Port MacDonnell, going down by 57 points. Awards: Tom Schulz (Seebohm?s Sportspower), Mason Bunt (Chris Gilbertson), Joesph Brooks (Gary Nilsson) Brett Watson (HFC Ladies Committee) and J Telfer (HSRC Steak).
Like the Senior Colts, the Reserves won?t be playing finals this year, but it was great for them to finish their season on a high with a good win over the Demons last Saturday! Darren ?Fatz? Paul showed he is still one of the best midfielders going around and was well assisted by Sam Fitzgerald, who put his head over the ball all day. Josh Clarke played his normal solid game, but Josh, a forward?s job is to kick goals, especially from the goal square with no one else around you! Muff played like the A Grader he is and helped us to a good win. Awards: Darren Paul (Beaurepaires), Sam Fitzgeral (Millicent 4WD Systems), Josh Clarke (Dave Reilly?s Panel & Paint) and Tim Merrett (Hahn Super Dry).
Thank you to everyone who helped the Reserves throughout the year. Good luck to Mat Faulkner and his A Grade team, Keith Allan and his Junior Colts?and to all the netball teams who have made the finals.
Although we didn?t get over the line in the A Grade against Port MacDonnell, we played three good quarters of football against the top side. Our intensity and pressure was at its best and was?great to watch. We ran well all over the ground and chased hard, giving us many opportunities to score. This was pleasing to see and has put us in good stead heading into this week?s final against Tantanoola.
Cameron Slape was strong all day down back, competing hard and taking some good grabs. Clint Slape also stood up and had a good game, shutting down his opponent. Again Tyler Saunders, Todd Watson and Jase Faulkner had solid games, doing a majority of the heavy work, while up forward Tom Bell and Brett Sneath were very productive.

In today?s First Semi Final against Tantanoola, we must step up again and leave nothing behind! We must give an honest, hard effort if we want to keep our season alive! Carn? the Eagles!
