The Recreation Centers of Sun City West?s Administrative Offices, including Membership and Golf Operations, will be closed Monday, Sept. 3, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

Residents who need to put money on their accounts for guests are encouraged to do so in advance at the Membership Office, 19803 R.H. Johnson Blvd. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Residents also may put money on their accounts at Grandview Pro Shop, which is open seven days a week, including Labor Day. (Although Grandview Golf Course is closed until Oct. 15, the Pro Shop is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily)

The Library and Village Store will be closed Monday, Sept. 3, as well. The Sports Pavilion, recreation centers and golf courses will be open regular hours.

The Rec Centers reminds residents that it will begin its extended hours at the Box Office and Membership on Tuesday, Sept. 4. The far left door of the Administrative Offices will be open until 7 p.m. on Tuesday nights so members may visit the Box Office to purchase tickets, or visit Membership to pay dues, put money on their accounts, buy golf cards or transact most other business. More complicated Membership business such as resales and death certificate refunds must take place during regular business hours from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays.

The Box Office is also extending its Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday hours beginning Sept. 4 to better accommodate members. Instead of closing at 11:30 a.m., the Box Office will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on those days. Tuesday will be the only late night.

The late hours are available only on Tuesdays, beginning Sept. 4. Beginning Oct 16, the Library also will be open late on Tuesdays, staying open until 7 p.m.

The extended hours are in response to residents? requests as voiced through the Arizona State University study. The Governing Board and staff encourages residents to share their thoughts and comments on the new hours by visiting the Rec Centers? Facebook page, scwaz.com, or emailing gb@rcscw.com.
