Android fans who want to get an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean device without paying top dollar are in luck because Verizon Wireless (VZ) has chopped the price of Samsung?s (005930) Galaxy Nexus smartphone down to a mere $99.99 if purchased online with a two-year service agreement. DroidLife?speculates that Verizon is dropping the price for the Galaxy Nexus because the Samsung Galaxy S III is blowing other Android devices out of the water right now, thus making Verizon willing to sell older Android phones at a discount just to move them out before the next wave of Android handsets hits later this year. At any rate, this is undoubtedly good news for any Verizon customers looking to get access to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on the cheap.
